Tiny City Garden

Providence, Rhode Island

Small city garden with painted lattice-inlay fencing and peastone patio edged in brick. Plantings include boxwood, roses, tree-form hydrangeas, flowering vines and perennials.

Andrew Grossman turned our bit of scrub grass on a city lot into a lush and enchanting Eden. It looked like a mature garden within one month of installation. He also played with scale so that our tiny plot now looks enormous. Visitors to our garden can’t believe their eyes. He surpassed our expectations at every point in the process. He is a gifted artist with a depth of knowledge and a collaborative spirit. I just wish I had another property for him to transform.
